Analysis relating to the projects and beneficiaries of the measures envisaged in S3 of the Tuscany Region
This study was commissioned to IRPET by the Management Authority of the POR FESR 2014-2020 of the Tuscany Region. The work was curated by Local Global Sas with the collaboration of Paolo Chini, within the Research Area Production systems and enterprises directed by Simone Bertini, who coordinated it. The objective of this report is to verify the progress of the Smart Specialization Strategy of the Tuscany Region, also in the light of the participatory review system that took shape between the second half of 2017 and the first half of 2018 and which led to the medium-term update of the “Research and innovation strategy for Smart Specialization in Tuscany” with Council resolution no. 204 of 25 February 2019. The revision reaffirms the regional will to maintain two main lines of objectives: the first oriented towards the competitiveness of companies on international markets, the second towards the reorganization and repositioning of local supply chains in such a way as to consolidate demand and make the supply chains themselves as functional as possible to the competitiveness of Tuscan products on international markets. The three ICT technological priorities Photonics, Intelligent factory, Chemistry and nanotechnologies are maintained and the Action plan is divided into development drivers divided into support for industrial research, support for innovation, support for system interventions. A further source of information for this report is given by the European database CORDIS which offers project contents of the proposals of each country of the Union at a level of detail of NUTS2. The opportunity of this Analysis is to compare what was expressed by the Tuscan subjects in the H2020 tenders at European level and what emerged also in the light of the results of the monitoring of the reports “Enhancement and analysis of indicators” and “Analysis of priorities and roadmaps of the Research and Innovation Strategy for Smart Specialisation” for the same year 2019.
